How Might We…?

It’s been several years since I stumbled upon the d school and the Virtual Crash Course. It was probably the first time I was introduced to Design Thinking. I later joined many Design Thinking and Human Centered Design open courses. However, since I am a MOOC junkie, I ended up signing for more courses than I can ever hope to complete.

It wasn’t until I started getting involved with the OpenIDEO DC Chapter that I started to practice and learn from practitioners. It is easy to read something in a book or attend a course but the real understanding comes with deliberate practice. There’s an old adage that goes like, “Knowledge is power.” I believe this saying should be modified to add: and Practice is Powerful but I digress.

Recently I witnessed a group of passionate individuals who came together to explore the question of How might we bring and nurture #creativeconfidence in the workplace?

When we speak of nurturing #creativeconfidence, it’s not surprising to find the same patterns regardless of the community you belong to. Whether you are in the Agile space, Human Centered Design, Lean or Professional Coaching, it’s crystal clear that creativity needs space and discipline.

Imagine if we bring practitioners from different communities to explore the idea of creative confidence. That would be powerful!

How might we bring creative confidence to our community?

If you enjoyed this, I would be grateful if you give it a 👏👏 and share it!
