Growing up I used to read comic books and watch superhero movies. It was magical! You get to imagine what it would be like to be a superhero!

So, I recently got hooked on DC Comics’ The Flash series and it felt like reliving the moments of my childhood. I also found many lessons as I watch the series. One of the lessons is when several people gained SuperPowers as a result of the particle accelerator explosion at S.T.A.R Labs in Central City. They became what is known as metahumans (aka metas). These metas used their superpower in the wrong way and just squandered it because they didn’t realize the good they could do with it or maybe they just didn’t want to use it for good!

But to me it looks like they didn’t have a purpose to be able to use their superpower for good. The Flash however who also got affected has a purpose and that’s why he uses his power for good. He uses his power to help people and make a difference!

In The Flash series, the people with superpowers are called metahumans. Meta means beyond and it is used for completion and if you think about it, the more we learn about ourselves, the more we get to be complete, to understand our true power, our real purpose and our potential.

See, the thing is everyone has a superpower and we need to do something with it. We use it to make an impact, a positive impact and we all have this longing of making a difference. We just need to discover our superpower.

So, what’s your superpower? And how will you discover it?
